The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's cross country team finished second in a field of four teams in the Warhawk Open Friday afternoon. 

Brinley Everson (Waunakee, Wis.) led the way with a fourth place finish. She crossed the line in 25:04.6. Emma Henningfeld (East Troy, Wis./) was one spot back with a clocking of 25:10.0. Adding a top-ten finish was Kaitlyn Burke's (Fort Atkinson, Wis./) time of 25:49.7. 

Emma Shingledecker (New Berlin, Wis./West) was the next to cross with a time of 26:43.4 - good for 13th at the meet. Mollie Bennett (Cambridge, Ill./) and Kayla Fogarty (Holt, Mich./) finished back-to-back in 24th and 25th with times of 29:31.8 and 29:32.5 respectively. 

The Warhawks next competition is the WIAC Championship meet slated for November 2 in Stevens Point.
