Whitewater, Wis. -- The UW-Whitewater women's cross country team paced the pack in the team's annual Tom Hoffman Invitational Saturday. The Warhawks claimed the top five spots and nine of the top eleven at the meet.
Katie Erb (Winnebago, Ill./) led the way Saturday with a time of 23:44.
Abi Anderson (Janesville, Wis./Craig) added a second sub-24 time with a second-place clocking of 23:51.
Payton Scoggin (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trails) crossed the line in 24:21 followed by
Ella Hansen (Pewaukee, Wis./UW-Parkside) (24:34) and
Miranda McNally (Downers Grove, Ill./North) (25:11) to round out the top five.
Two runners from MSOE were the next to cross the finish line followed by four more Warhawks.
Nicole Brown (Grayslake, Ill./) registered an eighth-place time of 25:22 with
Kaitlyn Burke (Fort Atkinson, Wis./) just three seconds back.
Emma Henningfeld (East Troy, Wis./) posted a time of 25:26 to secure tenth while
Carleen Snow's (Rio, Wis./DeForest) time of 25:39 was good for eleventh.

The Warhawks have a week off before heading to Colfax, Wisconsin for the Blue Gold Invitational hosted by UW-Eau Claire at Whitetail Golf Course on October 3.
