The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's cross country team placed third overall, with a strong team showing at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship Meet. The Warhawks tallied 98 total points (14-15-17-25-27).
The Warhawks were led by a pack of three, all scoring in the top 20 for team points.
Katie Erb (Winnebago, Ill./) led the three with a time of 22:08.4 for an 18th overall finish.
Payton Scoggin (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trails) followed with a 22:11.4 for 20th, and finally
Abi Anderson (Janesville, Wis./Craig) with a 22:21.1 for 22nd place to lead the Warhawks. Erb and Anderson both set new personal bests in the meet.
Ella Hansen (Pewaukee, Wis./UW-Parkside) and
Emma Henningfeld (East Troy, Wis./) rounded out the scoring with a 30th and 32nd place finish, respectively. Hansen timed in at 22:44.2 with Henningfeld setting a new personal record at 22:46.0.

Kaitlyn Burke (Fort Atkinson, Wis./) was the Warhawks representative on the WIAC All-Sportsmanship team, setting a personal best with her time of 23:30.6.
The Warhawks will prepare for the North Regional match, set for November 15th in Colfax, Wisconsin. The men's race begins at 12 PM with the women to follow.
