The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's cross country teams competed in the Augustana Interregional alongside multiple regionally-ranked teams. The Warhawks finished 10th overall in the women's "Gold" race, led by
Ari De La Cerda (Pewaukee, Wis./) and
Payton Scoggin (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trails).
De La Cerda completed her 6k race in 22:22.9 to finish 41st overall. Scoggin was right behind her, completing the race in 22:26 for 44th overall.
Katie Erb (Winnebago, Ill./) and
Renee Forystek (Waukesha, Wis./North) finished in a 22:43 and 22:48, respectively, with
Ella Hansen (Pewaukee, Wis./) with a 23:02 to round out the Warhawk scorers in the "Gold" race.
Abbey Wedwick (Westby, Wis./) (23:29) and
Carleen Snow (Rio, Wis./DeForest) (23:33) also represented the Warhawks in the first race.
In the women's "Blue" race later in the day, the Warhawks had five personal bests and one season best.Â

Nicole Brown (Grayslake, Ill./) (24:49),
Emma Shingledecker (New Berlin, Wis./West) (25:43), and
Kayla Fogarty (Holt, Mich./) (25:54).
Jocelyn Ramirez (Jefferson, Wis./) ran the season best, finishing the race in 24:27.
Kaitlyn Burke (Fort Atkinson, Wis./) (25:53),
Brinley Everson (Waunakee, Wis.) (26:45),
Bella Delgado (Oak Creek, Wis./) (27:59), and
Mollie Bennett (Cambridge, Ill./) (28:22) also competed for the Warhawks in the "Blue" race. As a team, the Warhawks finished 3rd overall out of 25 teams.
The Warhawks return to their home course for the Warhawk Open next Friday, October 25. The women's race is set to begin at 12:00 on the UWW Campus Course.Â
