The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's golf team finished sixth of 17 teams in the Wartburg Fall Invite in Waverly, Iowa this weekend.
The Warhawks posted a team score of 306 Saturday followed by a 307 Sunday for a total of 613. St. Catherine won the invite with a total of 582 followed by Carleton (600), Grinnell (602), St. Catherine-B (604), Illinois Wesleyan (612) and UWW. Bethel and Dubuque tied for seventh with matching 617's followed by UW-Stout (620), Coe (638), UWW-B (643), Wartburg (650), Bethel-B (653), Carthage (710), Hawkeye (714), Luther (718) and Nebraska Wesleyan (729).
Ellie Johnson (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) was the top finishing Warhawk golfer with a total of 147 after carding a 74 Saturday and a 73 Sunday. She finished tied for sixth in the 98-player field.

The Warhawks' second team at the invite was led by
Haley Myers (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) and
Jessica Velent (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Adlai E. Stevenson) with identical rounds of 79 and 77 for a totals of 156. They were joined by
Emma Norton (Lanark, Ill./Eastland) (80-86-166),
Kellie Shanahan (Wauconda, Ill./Mundelein) (85-82-167) and
Megan Honn (LaFayette, Ind./Jefferson) (83-86-169).
UW-Whitewater heads to Normal, Illinois next weekend for the Illinois Wesleyan Fall Invite at Ironwood Golf Course.
