The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's golf team finished second in their first spring competition of the season carding a two-day total of 675 in the Upper Iowa Spring Invite in Waterloo, Iowa.
The Warhawks had two squads competing in the invite with the second fivesome finishing fourth with a total of 718.
Ellie Johnson was the top finishing Warhawk improving her round one score by five strokes for a 78 on day two. Her two-day total of 161 was tied for sixth on the individual leaderboard.
Ashton Sinak (St. Louis, Mo./Visitation Academy) and
Kallie Lux (Janesville, Wis./Craig) each bettered their round one card by two strokes Saturday for a total of 170 to tie for eighth.
Haley Myers (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) carded a 85 with an invite total of 173 to tie for 11th and
Grace Westerman (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) came in among the top 15 with a two-day total of 174.
Lily Sheppard (Sherwood, Wis./Kaukauna) (175),
Jennifer Berardi (Highland Park, Ill./Highland Park) (184), Madison LaPaz (184) all placed in the top 20 while
Abbie Reiser (Washington, Ill./Washington Community) and
Lauren Winter (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) posted top 25 totals.

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's golf team opened its spring slate at the Upper Iowa University Spring Invite Friday. The Warhawks are in third after day one with a second group holding fourth in the seven-team invitational.
The UWW squad holding third is led by Ellie Johnson's 83 that is tied for sixth on the individual leaderboard. Six Warhawks are listed tied for 10th through 14th place in the individual standings as well. In the third place group,
Ashton Sinak (St. Louis, Mo./Visitation Academy) and
Kallie Lux (Janesville, Wis./Craig) each posted rounds of 86 while Madison LaPaz carded an 87 and
Lily Sheppard (Sherwood, Wis./Kaukauna) came in with an 88.
The fourth-place fivesome is led by
Haley Myers (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) and
Grace Westerman's (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) 88.
Jennifer Berardi (Highland Park, Ill./Highland Park) posted a 93 followed by
Abbie Reiser (Washington, Ill./Washington Community) with a 94 and
Lauren Winter (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) cardded a 97.
The invite in Waterloo, Iowa continues Saturday.
