Peyton Nichols (Green Bay, Wis./Bayport) and
Cooper Re (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team for the 2023 season.Â
Peyton Nichols (Green Bay, Wis./Bayport) was named to the USC Region IX Second Team. Nichols was able to score and also set up his teammates to score. Nichols recorded three goals and three assists in the 2023 season. Against Greenville, Nichols scored on a penalty Kick. As a midfielder, Nichols also helped control the Warhawk defense that set school records for goals allowed per game (0.79). Nichols appeared in 17 games, starting in 16 of them for a total of 1254 minutes.Â
Cooper Re (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) was named to the USC Region IX Third Team. Re led the Warhawks in scoring for the 2023 season, scoring 7 goals throughout 19 games. Re took 34 shots with 15 on goal. Against Westminster (MO), Re added two goals in the Warhawks 3-1 victory. Re scored three game-winning goals this season against Fontbonne, Westminster (MO), and Gustavus Adolphus. Re appeared in all 19 games this season, starting in 15 of them for a total of 1039 minutes.
The Warhawks finished the 2023 Season with a 13-1-5 record, the best record in Warhawk Men's Soccer history (dating back to 1978). They were eliminated on penalty kicks in the first round of the Cost-To-Coast Conference Playoffs. Next year, the Warhawks will join the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for men's soccer (
release).Â
