The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's golf team, ranked 16
th in the latest Mizuno Women's Golf Coaches Association poll, is on top of the leaderboard after the first day of the UW-Whitewater Fall Invite at Riverside Golf Course in Janesville.

The top Warhawk team carded a 314 in the first round followed by a second UW-W squad that posted a 332. A third UW-Whitewater fivesome registered a 351 on day one.

Ashton Sinak (St. Louis, Mo./Visitation Academy) is tied for the lead after carding a 77 in her first 18 of the weekend.
Madi LaPaz (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) holds a share of third just two strokes back from the leaders.
Kallie Lux (Janesville, Wis./Craig) recorded a 79 followed by teammates
Lily Sheppard (Sherwood, Wis./Kaukauna) and Ellie Johnson with an 80. All of the Warhawks on the team leading squad are among the top seven on the individual leaderboard.
