Viterbo Results ("B" Team)
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater golf team finished ninth out of 16 teams over the weekend at the Wartburg Fall Invitational at Prairie Links Golf Course in Waverly, Iowa.
The Warhawks carded a 318 in Sunday's final round to total a 623 (305-318), two strokes behind eighth-place Central (Iowa).
Lily Sheppard (Sherwood, Wis./Kaukauna) led UW-Whitewater in the second round and for the weekend with a 155 (80-75), good for a tie for 30th in the 99-player field.
Ashton Sinak (St. Louis, Mo./Visitation Academy) and
Madi LaPaz (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) were close behind, tying for 34th. Sinak's 156 included rounds of 76 and 80, while LaPaz's tournament included scores of 74 and 82.
Elizabeth Johnson (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) placed 46th with a 159 (76-83), and
Kallie Lux (Janesville, Wis./Craig) tied for 47th with a 160 (79-81).
Competing as an individual,
Haley Myers (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) tied for 57th overall with a 163 (78-85).
The Warhawks head to Normal, Ill., next Friday and Saturday, Sept. 17-18, for the Illinois Wesleyan Fall Classic at Ironwood Golf Course.
