Tucker Criswell (Tallahassee, Fla./Lawton Chiles) and Westin Muir (Highlands Ranch, Colo./St. Charles North (Ill.)) of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater baseball team were named first team Academic All-District® by the College Sports Information Directors of America for the 2020-21 year.
 
Both Criswell and Muir will be eligible for inclusion on the Academic All-America® teams, which will be announced later this month. CoSIDA's District 6 for Division III baseball includes schools in Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
 
Criswell and Muir helped the Warhawks sweep the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships and reach the program's 13th straight NCAA Tournament, where the team finished as Whitewater Regional runner-up. UW-W posted a 40-7 record, including a 24-4 conference mark during the regular season.
 
Criswell, a third baseman, garnered honorable mention All-WIAC honors and batted .363 for the season with 17 doubles, good for fourth in the conference, to go along with three triples, four home runs and 29 runs batted in. The graduate transfer also finished with 24 walks and was on base in more than 46 percent of his plate appearances.
 
Criswell is pursuing a master of business administration from UW-Whitewater. He posted a 3.84 GPA during his time as an undergraduate at Methodist (N.C.) and owns a 3.90 GPA as a graduate student.
 
Muir earned first team All-WIAC, consensus first team All-Midwest Region and consensus second team All-America accolades in 2021. He finished the spring with a 9-1 record and a league-leading 1.23 earned run average. Muir also finished among conference leaders in opposing batting average (.182), innings pitched (73.0), strikeouts (90), starts (12) and wins.
 
Muir is majoring in environmental science and carries a 3.68 cumulative GPA.
 
To be eligible for nomination to Academic All-District® and All-America® teams, student-athletes must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher on a 4.0 scale and must be a starter or key reserve who participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games. Pitchers must have pitched at least 10.0 innings during the most recent or current season.
