No. 16 Bowling Third at Warhawk Classic

The No. 16 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team started the 2021 season with a third-place finish at the two-day Warhawk Classic at Rock River Lanes in Fort Atkinson.
 
The Warhawks finished with a total pinfall of 8,942 for the weekend, good for an average of 178.8 per game.
 
UW-Whitewater tallied a 2-2 record in Sunday's Baker total pinfall matches, defeating Upper Iowa and Lewis and falling against No. 18 Maryville and Valparaiso. UW-W's 1,054 series against Lewis was the highest any team totaled during the tournament.
 
Prior to the start of Day 2, seniors Peyton Attig (Oak Lawn, Ill./Harold L. Richards), Karlee Barton (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) and Mary Conneely (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) were recognized for their career accomplishments over the last four years. The trio competed in its final home tournament.
 
The Warhawks return to action Feb. 12-14 at Lewis University's Flyer Classic at Strike and Spare II in Lockport, Ill.
