The No. 15 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team tallied two more victories Saturday on the second day of the Mid-Winter Classic at Hijinx in Jonesboro, Ark.
The Warhawks are 11th after the second day of competition with 9,453 pins, good for an average of 189.1 per game. The team topped No. 19 Maryville and Alabama A&M, but was defeated by No. 11 Louisiana Tech and No. 7 Stephen F. Austin.

Kelsey Jaeger (New London, Wis./Little Wolf) totaled 945 pins in five traditional games, good for an average of 189.00, to lead UW-Whitewater and finish 37th overall out of 122 bowlers. Senior
Kailee Tubbs (Flint, Mich./Davison) and junior
Peyton Attig (Oak Lawn, Ill./Harold L. Richards) finished 43rd and 46th, respectively. Tubbs collected 938 pins (187.60 average), and Attig registered 917 (183.40 average).

Mary Conneely (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) rolled three games and totaled 573 pins, good for 84th place and a 191.00 average. Sophomore
Caitlin Mertins (Racine, Wis./Park) finished 91st with 548 pins for a 182.67 average.

Karlee Barton (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) and sophomore
Sam Knab (Antioch, Ill./Antioch) placed 101st and 102nd, respectively. Barton rolled a 237 game and finished with 385 pins in two games, good for a 192.50 average. Knab posted 373 pins in two games, good for a 186.50 average.
UW-Whitewater opens best-of-seven Baker bracket play Sunday against 12th-seeded Lincoln Memorial, which was ranked 23rd in the most recent National Tenpin Coaches Association poll.
