The No. 18 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team closed the Northeast Invitational Sunday with a 4-1 win over No. 14 Delaware State to place 11th at the 26-team tournament at Limerick Bowl in Limerick, Pa.
 
The Warhawks, seeded 10th to start Sunday's best-of-seven Baker bracket play, were defeated in five games by No. 17 Fairleigh Dickinson and in six by No. 21 Adelphi before concluding competition with a victory to finish with a 6-7 record for the weekend.
 
UW-Whitewater resumes action this Friday-Sunday, Jan. 24-26, at the Columbia 300 Saints Invitational in Chesterfield, Mo.
