The No. 18 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team is 10th out of 26 teams following Saturday's second day at the Northeast Classic at Limerick Bowl in Limerick, Pa.
The Warhawks posted a 3-2 mark in traditional games and is now 5-5 for the weekend with a total pinfall of 9,212, good for a 184.2 per-game-average.
UW-Whitewater started the day with losses against Long Island and No. 23 Monmouth. The team rebounded with victories over Molloy, No. 24 Wilmington (Del.) and Chestnut Hill to close traditional play.
Junior
Mary Conneely (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) led the Warhawks with 953 pins (190.60 average) in five games, good for 26th overall out of 190 bowlers. Sophomore
Sam Knab (Antioch, Ill./Antioch) totaled 943 pins, good for a 188.60 average, to place 30th.
Senior
Kailee Tubbs (Flint, Mich./Davison) tallied 806 pins in four games – a 201.50 average – to finish 78th. Junior
Karlee Barton (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) rolled a 179.0 average (716 pins over four games) to place 92nd.
Sophomore
Kelsey Jaeger (New London, Wis./Little Wolf) finished 114th with 547 pins (182.33 average). Sophomores
Gaby Silva (Lindenhurst, Ill./Grayslake North) and
Caitlin Mertins (Racine, Wis./Park) placed 145th and 146th, respectively. Silva compiled 315 pins in two games for a 157.50 average, and Mertins posted 299 pins in two games, good for a 149.50 average.
UW-Whitewater will face 17th-ranked Fairleigh Dickinson, the No. 9 seed, to begin best-of-seven Baker bracket play Sunday.
