Six members of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater golf team participated Saturday in the first round of the UW-Stevens Point Mad Dawg Invitational at Stevens Point Country Club.
 
Sophomore Billie Jo Parker (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater) is tied for second in the 20-player field after posting a first-round 83. Freshman Madi LaPaz (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) is fourth with an 85, and freshman Lily Sheppard (Sherwood, Wis./Kaukauna) carded a 90 and is tied for seventh overall.
 
Freshman Jennifer Berardi (Highland Park, Ill./Highland Park) enters the second round in ninth with a 94. Freshman Jessica LaBerge (Bonduel, Wis./Bonduel) fired a 114, good for 18th place, and freshman Grace Westerman (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) tallied a 115, good for 19th.
 
The Warhawks finish play in Stevens Point Sunday.
