The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater golf team posted its best score of the four-day, 72-hole NCAA Championship on Friday with a 311 to finish off a 13th-place performance at the national tournament.
The Warhawks finished with a four-day total of 1,284, good for a school record for a four-round tournament. The team's 311 tied for the third-best 18-hole round in program history.

CheyAnn Knudsen (Milton, Wis./Milton) also tied a school record with her final-round, 1-over par 73 on Friday. She finished the tournament tied for 34th out of 125 players with a 315 (81-78-83-73).

Ashley Hofmeister (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower) recorded her third sub-80 round of the championship with a 77 to cap her four-day score of 316 (79-85-75-77), good for a tie for 37th.

Kelly Storti (Deerfield, Ill./Deerfield) tallied her best score of the week with a 78 on Friday, tying for 62nd overall with a 326 (81-82-85-78).
Seniors
Maddie McCue (Milton, Wis./Milton) and
Kaitlin Bowe (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) finished their careers in purple and white at the NCAA Championship. McCue collected a 333 (87-79-81-86) for the weekend, good for 68th place, and Bowe finished with a 340 (89-86-82-83), good for 73rd. Both McCue and Bowe, along with fellow seniors
Breanna Bertschinger (Waterford, Wis./Union) and
Sabrina Schreck (New Berlin, Wis./Divine Savior Holy Angels), were instrumental in helping the team record back-to-back Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships.
UW-Whitewater made the cut at the NCAA Championship for the second straight season and have finished 12th and 13th at the tournament over the last two years, respectively. The 2018 and 2019 bids were the team's first since women's golf became an NCAA Division III sport.
