Baseball to Play Games at Premier Minor League Facility in Florida

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater baseball team will play a trio of games at Blue Wahoos Stadium in Pensacola, Fla., as part of the program's annual spring training trip to Florida.
 
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos are the Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. The Warhawks are special guests of Blue Wahoos co-owner Quint Studer and Studer Entertainment.
 
UW-Whitewater will face Division II West Florida on Wednesday, March 20, at 5 p.m. before taking on St. Thomas (Minn.) in contests on Thursday, March 21, and Friday, March 22, at 6 p.m.
 
Reserve games between UW-Whitewater and St. Thomas will be played Thursday, March 21, and Friday, March 22, at 10 a.m. at Blue Wahoos Stadium.
 
Blue Wahoos Stadium is considered one of the premier facilities in Minor League Baseball. It was named baseballparks.com's Ballpark of the Year in 2012, the year the stadium opened.
