Gradin Taschner (Neenah, Wis./Neenah), a junior right-handed pitcher from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater baseball team was selected on the All-American Fourth Team by D3baseball in a release on Thursday morning. Taschner is the 35th Warhawk to earn All-American honors dating back to 1962.
Taschner made 17 appearances in the pitching rotation for the Warhawks during the 2026 campaign. Starting in eight games, Taschner boasted a 5-0 record on the mound. Out of the bullpen, Taschner tallied five saves, the third most in a single season in Warhawk history, and also good enough for 7th in a Warhawk career.
Taschner led the team in both ERA (1.84) and WHIP (0.96), leading a top-10 pitching staff in the nation. The Warhawks ranked in the top-10 of the nation in both ERA (3.67-9th) & WHIP (1.27-8th). Individually, Taschner ranked 15th in ERA & 12th in WHIP in the nation out of qualified pitchers.
In total, Taschner pitched 49.0 innings, fanning 57 batters during his 2026 campaign. He helped the Warhawks to a 43-6 record, winning their third straight regular season WIAC title & third-straight WIAC Tournament.
