The No. 16 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater golf team is in first place after the first day of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship (presented by Culver's) at Reedsburg Country Club in Reedsburg, Wis.
The Warhawks carded a 314 as a team and lead second-place UW-Stout by four strokes entering Saturday's round, the second of three during the 54-hole tournament.

CheyAnn Knudsen (Milton, Wis./Milton) is tied atop the 64-player field with a score of 76. Senior
Ashley Hofmeister (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower) trails her teammate by one stroke after firing a 77 and is third overall.
Sophomore
Ashton Sinak (St. Louis, Mo./Visitation Academy) posted an 80 and is tied for eighth overall. Senior
Kristin Bowe (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) is tied for 11th overall after tallying a score of 81, and senior
Kelly Storti (Deerfield, Ill./Deerfield) is tied for 20th with her first-round 84.
Sophomore
Lauren Winter (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) is tied for 16th overall and second among individuals with a first-round 83. Sophomore
Billie Jo Parker (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater) is tied for 27th with an 87.
Other individuals include freshmen
Lily Sheppard (Sherwood, Wis./Kaukauna) and
Madi LaPaz (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc). Sheppard is tied for 34th after recording a 90, and LaPaz is tied for 55th with a 98.
Saturday's second round has been changed to a shotgun start and will begin at 9 a.m.
