The No. 25 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater golf team claimed the title at the UW-Whitewater Fall Invite on Saturday and Sunday at The Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove.
The Warhawks carded a 319 in Sunday's final round to finish with a 635 (316-319) for the weekend, nine shots ahead of runner-up UW-Oshkosh.

Ashley Hofmeister (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower) claimed her second straight championship at UW-Whitewater's home tournament, totaling a 149 (74-75) for her sixth career tournament medalist honor.

CheyAnn Knudsen (Milton, Wis./Milton) and senior
Kaitlin Bowe (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) also posted top 10 finishes. Knudsen fired a 156 (78-78) to place fourth overall, and Bowe tallied a 166 (82-84) to tie for ninth place.
Senior
Sabrina Schreck (New Berlin, Wis./Divine Savior Holy Angels) rounded out Warhawk scoring with a 172 (90-82), good for a tie for 16th. Senior
Maddie McCue (Milton, Wis./Milton) withdrew from the tournament after recording a first-round 82 Saturday.
Competing as an individual, freshman
Ashton Sinak (St. Louis, Mo./Visitation Academy) registered her best collegiate score, finishing with a 160 (80-80) to tie for fifth place. Junior
Kelly Storti (Deerfield, Ill./Deerfield) tied for 11th with a 167 (86-81), and junior
Kristin Bowe (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) tied for 16th at 172 (85-87).

Billie Jo Parker (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater) collected a 182 (92-90) to tie for 35th, junior
Bella Barbiere (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) tied for 44th with a 187 (95-92) and senior
Breanna Bertschinger (Waterford, Wis./Union) tied for 53rd after making the team's biggest second-round improvement and finishing with a 192 (102-90). Freshman
Katie Mead (Racine, Wis./Case) placed 78th with a 214 (106-108).
UW-Whitewater will send a "B" team to UW-Stevens Point's Mad Dawg Invitational on Sept. 29-30 before heading to Reedsburg Country Club on Oct. 5-7 for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship.
