The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater golf team finished the two-day, 17-team Carthage Shootout on the Border in third place after Saturday's second round at Bristol Oaks Golf Club in Bristol, Wis.
The Warhawks matched their opening-round score with a 328 for a two-day total of 656. UW-Whitewater's "B" team placed seventh with a two-round total of 705 (356-349).

CheyAnn Knudsen (Milton, Wis./Milton) led the Warhawks by placing fourth in the 94-player field, totaling a 159 (78-81) for the tournament, only four shots off the winning score. Senior
Sabrina Schreck (New Berlin, Wis./Divine Savior Holy Angels) also sealed a spot in the top 10 with a second-round 80 en route to a two-day total of 164 (84-80), good for a tie for 10th.

Ashley Hofmeister (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower) and freshman
Ashton Sinak (St. Louis, Mo./Visitation Academy) tied for 19th with matching scores of 169. Hofmeister followed her opening-round 81 with an 88 Saturday, while Sinak carded an 84 after starting her career Friday with an 85.

Kelly Storti (Deerfield, Ill./Deerfield) shaved six strokes off her first round score for a 172 (89-83), good for a tie for 28th overall.
