2017-18 Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's tennis teams are each in the final 2017-18 Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Collegiate Tennis Rankings.
The Warhawk women moved up six spots to No. 28 in the national poll after reaching the third round of the NCAA Tournament. The team finished the season with a 21-7 record in dual matches and with its 11th straight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship.
Junior
Gabi Kitchell (Wausau, Wis./D.C. Everest) is 30th in the national singles rankings, while the Warhawks' doubles tandem of seniors
Bridgid McGuire (Slinger/Slinger) and
Jillian Wallace (Crystal Lake, IL/Central) is 15th in the doubles poll. Both Kitchell and McGuire/Wallace reached the first round of the NCAA Tournament in their respective individual draws.
In the ITA's Central Region rankings, UW-Whitewater appears at No. 5 on the team list. Kitchell and senior
Alexandra Talyansky (Mequon/Homestead) are sixth and 17th, respectively, in singles, and McGuire and Wallace are third in doubles.
The Warhawk men are slotted 11th in the Central Region rankings. UW-Whitewater finished with a 16-9 dual mark and won three of its last four to end the season, including a sweep of in-state rivals UW-Eau Claire and UW-La Crosse.
