The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team began competition at the second Warhawk Fall Invite of the year on Friday, October 3rd. 

The Warhawks competed in four single draws and two doubles draws, with ITA-ranked Gustavus Adolphus, NCAA Division I UW-Milwaukee, and NAIA Olivet Nazarene University. On the first day of competition, the teams completed the doubles draws, and got through the first round of the singles brackets.

The Warhawks had three pairs competing in the top doubles bracket. Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) and Abigail Weaver (Wakarusa, Ind./Mishawaka Marian) reached the consalation semifinal after bouncing back from their first round loss. They faced Molly Asfeld (Waukesha, Wis./West) and Crystina Lee (Downers Grove, Ill./Timothy Christian), who did the same, winning their consolation semifinal 6-2.  Ha and Weaver ended up being the Warhawk pair to take the consolation side of the draw, winning 6-0.

In the doubles two bracket, it was all the Warhawks, with Abigail McIsaac (Fairview Heights, Ill./Belleville East) and Julia Nill (Thiensville, Wis./Homestead) reaching the finals only to face fellow teammates Josie Wojcikiewicz (Highland, Ill./Highland) and Kaitlyn Remke (Johnsburg, Ill./Marian Central). Wokcikiewicz and Remke came out on top, winning 6-2 in the final match.

11 Warhawks competed in the first round of the singles brackets, with 7 of them advancing in the main bracket to the semifinal. Those matches and the consolation matches will begin on Saturday, October 4^th at 9 am.
