The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team rounded out the Warhawk Fall Invite on Saturday, October 4th, finishing up the singles brackets of the Invite. The Warhawks had a long day, filled with many tiebreaker sets. 

At the singles 1 bracket, Abigail Weaver (Wakarusa, Ind./Mishawaka Marian) advanced to the championship winning her two matches. The opening round was a straight set win, followed by a tiebreaker win in the semifinal. After dropping the first set 6 games to one, Weaver turned it around and won 6 games straight to take the second set. Weaver closed it out with an 11-9 tiebreaker to advance to the finals. 

In the second singles bracket, the Warhawks had a third place finish with Ashley Adkisson (Licolnshire, Ill./Stevenson) winning the third place match in another close tiebreaker. Adkisson split the first two sets with her opponent 5-7, 7-5 then took the tiebreaker 10-6. 

At the fourth singles bracket, it was all Warhawks as well. Josie Wojcikiewicz (Highland, Ill./Highland) and Chloe Knutson (Deforest, Wis./Deforest) both won two matches in a row to reach the finals. Knutson came out on top, defeating her teammate 6-3, 7-5.
