Caitlin Catino (Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove) was featured Monday night on ESPN's
SportsCenter as the No. 4 play on the show's Top 10 countdown.
With one out and one on in the top of the seventh and the Warhawks clinging to a 3-1 lead, Catino made a leaping catch over the fence to rob Coe's Marisa Repp of a game-tying home run and help the team hang on for a 3-2 victory in the NCAA Division III Whitewater Regional championship game on Monday at van Steenderen Softball Complex.
On a night with NBA and NHL Playoff games and a regular slate of MLB contests, Catino's catch found a place among the top 10 plays of the day. The footage was shot and edited by
UWW-TV.
Catino also finished the game with two doubles and three runs batted in, and was named to the All-Tournament Team following play.
