Box Score 2 The No. 10 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater softball team downed New Paltz (N.Y.) 11-0 and Plymouth State (N.H.) 12-0 on Friday in Clermont, Fla.
The Warhawks (2-2 overall) forced both games to end after five innings by run rule, out-hitting the two teams by a combined margin of 17-4.
Against New Paltz (5-8), UW-Whitewater tallied nine runs in the first inning and tallied two more in the third, while holding the Hawks scoreless.

Mallory Klotz (New Berlin, Wis./West) and freshman right fielder
Vera Pflugradt (Lake Zurich, Ill./Stevenson) tallied two hits each to lead the Warhawks.
Junior pitcher
Julia Camardo (Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove) was dealt the win after pitching four shutout innings, and freshman pitcher
Makena Creekmore (Beach Park, Ill./Zion-Benton Township) stepped in to finish in the fifth inning.
The Warhawks tallied eight runs in the fifth inning against Plymouth State (7-7) to secure their second victory of the day.
Sophomore pitcher
Bella Matthias (Greenfield, Wis./Greenfield) earned the win, and sophomore pitcher
Dani Biesiada (Lisle, Ill./Naperville North) tossed a scoreless inning in relief.
Sophomore third basemen
Meg Cohrs (Elburn, Ill./Kaneland) led UW-Whitewater with three hits in the game.
A big hit from Pflugradt in the fifth inning sent three runners in to give the Warhawks the final margin of the game.
The Warhawks continue play Saturday in Clermont against St. Thomas (Minn.) at 8 a.m. Central Time and 10:30 a.m. Central Time.
