The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's basketball team is saddened to learn of the death of former coach Fritz Plinke (1967-70), who passed away at age 90 in late December.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, March 10, at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time in Lexington, Ky., at the following address:

Plinke led the Warhawks to an 18-46 mark during his three seasons as head coach. A native of Lancaster, Ohio, he also worked in athletics and coaching at fellow NCAA Division III schools Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, and Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio.
