The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater golf team tied for the fourth-best final round score Tuesday with a 312 to finish 14th at the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational at the Baytowne Course at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, Fla.
The Warhawks finished the three-day, 54-hole tournament, which featured several of the nation's top teams, with a 971 (331-328-312), only 10 shots out of a top 10 finish.
All five players shot between 76 and 80 during Tuesday's round as the team improved by 16 shots between the second and third rounds.

Ashley Hofmeister (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower) tied for 24th overall out of 92 players with a 239 (78-82-79), and junior
CheyAnn Knudsen (Milton, Wis./Milton) tallied a 241 (80-83-78) to tie for 34th.

Maddie McCue (Milton, Wis./Milton) posted a 245 (86-80-79) to tie for 49th, and senior
Sabrina Schreck (New Berlin, Wis./Divine Savior Holy Angels) fired the team's best round of the day to finish at 247 (87-84-76), good for a tie for 56th.

Kaitlin Bowe (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) carded a 250 (87-83-80) to tie for 66th overall.
