Related Links:Results (PDF) The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed in their home finale of the season against UW-Eau Claire in the Williams Center.
The men's team defeated the Bluegolds by a score of 192.50-100.5. The women's team dropped their match by a score of 137.5-158.5.
Junior
Dan Bielski (Chanhassen, Minn./Minnetonka) highlighted the Warhawk men's showing, finishing with two first place finishes and a second place finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:57.57. Bielski finished second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 54.09. UW-Whitewater took the top three spots in the 100-yard backstroke leading with Bielski in first place with a time of 53.38, junior Alexander Gidlow and freshman
Peter Loftus (Janesville, Wis./Craig) finished one tenth of a second apart with times of 55.86 and 55.87.
Freshman
Sam Douglass (Grafton, Wis./Cedarburg) finished the day with a first and second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle. Douglass won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:44.99, and took second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.33.
Senior
Riley Maher (Darien, Ill./Hinsdale South) won the 3-meter dive with a score of 228.15, while teammate Keffer Kuhl took second with a score of 225.37. Kuhl also won the 1-meter dive with a score of 218.17.
On the Women's side, senior
Stacey Kincade (Milton/Milton) highlighted the Warhawks with a first, second and third place finish on the night. Kincade won the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:51.03, she took second in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:20.70 and finished the night off with a third place finish in the 200-yard butterfly.
Freshman
Erin Hawker (Chanhassen, Minn./Hutchinson) finished the night with two second place finishes. She finished with a time of 1:10.14 in the 100-yard breaststroke, and 2:32.65 in the 200-yard breaststroke. The Warhawks took the first three spots of the 100-yard freestyle led by freshman
Vada Williams (La Crescent, Minn./Holmen-Aquinas-Onalaska (Wis.)) with a time of 55.24, followed by senior
Autumn Mulgrew (Sun Prairie/Sun Prairie) with a time of 56.39 and junior
Grace Devine (Sussex/Hamilton) with a time of 56.60.
Junior
Sierra Becker (River Falls, Wis./River Falls) won both of the diving events for the Warhawks. In the 1-meter dive she finished with a score of 259.95. In the 3-meter dive she totaled a score of 246.15.
UW-Whitewater will be back in action next Saturday Feb. 6th where they will take on UW-La Crosse in their conference finale. The meet is set to start at 1 p.m.
