Each member of each participating team donned a blue and white ribbon to bring awareness to the disease, which is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.

In addition, Bregant, Leibham, Shoemaker and Winkler were recognized for their contributions to the program prior to playing their final collegiate tournament.

A brief moment of silence was also held in honor of those who serve or have served in the military.
