The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater golf team wrapped up its fall season Sunday with a fourth-place finish at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship at Lake Arrowhead Golf Course in Nekoosa, Wis.

The Warhawks totaled 355 strokes Sunday to finish the three-day, three-round tournament with a 1,054 (345-354-355), just three strokes shy of third-place UW-Oshkosh. UW-Stout won the tournament and clinched the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament this spring.

Senior
Claudia Rhein (Racine/Prairie) led UW-Whitewater with a 252 (83-86-83), good for a tie for eighth place out of 52 players. By virtue of her top-eight finish, Rhein received a medal and was named to the All-Tournament team.

Sophomore
Stephanie Stair (Milton, Wis./Milton) posted a 256 (83-90-83) for the weekend and finished 12th overall. Senior
Sammie Leibham (Sheboygan/North) registered a 259 (84-81-94) to place 14th.

Kayla Asleson (Kenosha/Tremper) placed 32nd with a 287 (95-97-95), while freshman
Jess Gruber (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) finished 43rd with a 301 (101-105-95).

Senior
Kate Winkler (Kewaskum/Kewaskum) led a group of Warhawks competing as individuals with a 261 (86-86-89), good for a tie for 15th.

Seniors
Sarah Bregant (Sussex/Hamilton) and
Vivian Shoemaker (San Jacinto, CA/San Jacinto) also played as individuals. Bregant placed 24th with a 272 (96-90-86), and Shoemaker tied for 27th after firing a 282 (95-96-91).

Sophomore
Hannah Taylor (Glen Ellyn, IL/Glenbard South) posted a 290 (107-88-95) to finish 35th.

Following the tournament, Shoemaker was named to the conference's All-Sportsmanship team.

UW-Whitewater has now finished among the top four at the WIAC Championship in each of the last 10 years.Â
