The UW-Whitewater women's tennis team topped Wisconsin Lutheran College 5-0 in the first round of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III tournament hosted by the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois Friday morning.

Teams in the regional will compete until a decision is made, with all matches still in progress ending with no result (DNF-did not finish).
Smith notched her twenty-third win of the season overall and Bayliss improved to 11-2 this season in the number four singles flight. The team of Smith and Divelbiss marked their thirteenth win of the year to go along with just one defeat and the number three doubles team of Kasten and Aguilar are 9-1 in flight three and 17-2 overall this season.
UW-W, 22-4, will face Washington University in St. Louis, 15-7, Saturday, May 12 at 10:00 in Chicago. Whitewater has blanked opponents thirteen times in its 22 wins. Wisconsin Lutheran ends the season with a 17-11 record.
