The UW-Whitewater men's swimming and diving team topped Lawrence University 135-49 at a home meet Saturday, November 12.

Leading the way for the Warhawks with two first place finishes each were sophomores
John Devroy (Kenosha/Bradford) and
Mike Torielli (Menomonee Falls/Menomonee Falls), and freshman
Joe Devroy (Kenosha/Bradford).
John Devroy (Kenosha/Bradford) won the 400 yard individual medley (4:27.94) and the 200 yard butterfly (2:02.02). Torielli swept both the one meter (209.03) and three meter (199.20) diving events, and
Joe Devroy (Kenosha/Bradford) finished first in the 50 yard freestyle (23.59) and the 200 yard backstroke (1:58.36).
Other Warhawk winners included the Warhawk "A" team in the 200 freestyle relay (1:31.98), Warhawk "A" in the 200 medley relay (1:41.15), seniors
Bill Stenavich (Brookfield/Central) and
Derek Schneider (Janesville/Craig), respectively, in the 100 freestyle (48.77) and 200 breaststroke (2:20.43), sophomore
Alex Dionne (Mequon/Homestead) in the 1650 yard freestyle (19:33.34), and freshman
Ryan Stuart (Frankfort, IL/Lincolnway East) in the 200 freestyle (1:54.07).
Several Warhawk swimmers set or surpassed season bests with their times today in the following events: 1650 freestyle, 400 IM, one meter diving, 200 butterfly, 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, three meter diving, and 200 breaststroke.
The men's swim/dive team's next competition is a triangular in Green Bay with UW-Green Bay and St. Cloud State Friday and Saturday, November 18-19.
