The UW-Whitewater golf team finds themselves in third place after day one of the Georgianni Memorial UW-Eau Claire Invite at Mill Run Golf Course in Eau Claire.  The squad fired a team total of 337, 19 strokes off the leader UW-Eau Claire Blue.  Alexa Campanile (Mount Prospect, IL/Prospect) resides in second with a 78 and was the best Warhawk finisher on Saturday.

UW-W has three golfers currently in the top 25 out of 114 participants.  Mary Donohue (Endeavor/Portage) is tied for seventh after shooting an 82, while Melissa Ellis (Kenosha/Tremper) is tied for 21st after carding an 87.

The Warhawks will continue competition on Sunday.
