After finishing in fourth place after day one, the UW-Whitewater women's golf team finished in eighth place after day two at the Illinois Wesleyan University Spring Fling golf tournament. DePauw University placed first with a second day team total of 314 and a 36-hole team total of 630.

Melanie Helgeson (St. Charles, IL/North) shot a second round 84 and finished a team best tied for fourteenth. For the tournament Helgeson compiled a 161 which is the best 36-hole total by an individual for the Warhawks this season.
On the day, UW-Whitewater shot a 334 team score which is the second best 18-hole total on the year. Adding to the list of accomplishments, the team total for the tournament of 675 is the second best 36-hole score for the year as well.
Chelsea Davis (Greendale/Greendale) shot a second day team low of 82. Two Warhawks recorded an 84, Emily Kuiper (Racine/Case) and Amy Peters (Seymour/), and Gianna Tenuta (Kenosha/Bradford) scored an 89.
The next outing for the Warhawks is the UW-Whitewater Spring Fling held at Riverside Golf Course in Janesville, Wisconsin on March 23rd starting at 10:00 am.
