Day two of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship was highlighted by a school record in the 200 medley relay, a record in the 100 breaststroke, and Bill Stenavich (Brookfield/Central)'s second place finish in the 200 freestyle. UW-W is in fourth place with the competition concluding Saturday.

Stenavich's second place in the 200 freestyle, the best of the meet so far by any Warhawk swimmer, came in 1:42.95. The 200 medley relay's new school record is 1:36.71 (names not available).
Other top performances Friday came from the 800 freestyle relay, third with a team season best time of 7:06.23; fifth by Andy Hanney (Grafton/Grafton) in the 100 backstroke with a team season best time of 53.78; sixth by Marcus Genrich (Janesville/Parker) in 1:0012 for a team season best time in the 100 breaststroke; Paul Ringer (Brookfield/East)'s 4:25.14 in the 400 individual medley; and Nate Glover (Milton/Milton) placing eleventh in the 100 butterfly in 53.39. Glover swam a team season best 52.89 in Friday's prelims. Genrich actually broke the school record in the 100 breaststroke in Friday morning's preliminaries, clocking a 59.90 to advance to the evening finals. In a time trial swim at the end of the race, Genrich swam the 100 breastroke in 59.90 which is a NCAA B cut time.
Team scores two-thirds of the way through the meet are UW-Stevens Point 669, UW-La Crosse 564, UW-Eau Claire 330, UW-Whitewater 321, UW-Oshkosh 239, and UW-River Falls 105.
