UW-W used first place points in seven events to edge UW-Eau Claire 121-118 at the McPhee Center Pool in Eau Claire Saturday afternoon.

Bill Stenavich (Brookfield/Central),
Landon Joiner (Hinsdale, IL /South), and
Nate Glover (Milton/Milton) each played a role in at least two firsts for the Warhawks. Stenavich won the 100 (49.43) and 200 (1:50.20) freestyles; Joiner won the 50 freestyle (22.56); and Glover touched first in the 100 butterfly (55.46). Joiner and Glover were also part of two winning relays, the 200 medley (1:40.91) and the 200 freestyle (1:29.94).
Joiner and Glover were joined by
Andy Hanney (Grafton/Grafton) and
Marcus Genrich (Janesville/Parker) on the medley relay, and
Alex Mikolajewski and (Downers Grove, IL/Downers Grove North)Adam Altenburg# on the freestyle relay.
Kyle Stoermer (Ozark, MO/Nixa) gave UW-W more first place points by winning the 1000 freestyle in 10:23.75.
UW-W will swim at UW-La Crosse Friday at 1:00 in their final tune-up before the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship February 11-13 at the University of Minnesota.
