Theo Billson (Lindfield, England/BHASVIC) was selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-American Team in a release by the organization on Wednesday.
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's tennis sophomore boasted a 3.98 grade point average in Mathematics.Â
In addition to the classroom, Billson excelled on the tennis courts. Billson and his doubles partner
Reuben Giorgio (Perth, Western Australia/Applecross), received All-American Honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association after winning the ITA Regional Doubles Bracket.
Billson was also named the WIAC Player of the Year, competing at both singles and doubles for the Warhawk program. Billson finished with a 10-7 dual record in singles competition and 12-5 mark in doubles action.Â
To be eligible for the CSC Tennis All-American, student-athletes must be above a sophomore standing athletically and academically, have above a 3.50 GPA, and appear in 70% of team scoring events.Â
Billson is the fourth Warhawk men's tennis player to earn the Academic All-American honor joining; Scott Dreier (1990), Alex Lowe (2009), Zane Navratil (2018), and
Cole Lindwall (2023).Â
