The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's tennis team continued competition in the ITA Midwest Regional on Friday in St. Peter, Minnesota. 

Keith Moeller (Dallas, Tex./DKM-I University Prep) & Theo Billson (Lindfield, England/BHASVIC) both won their first matches of the day in the singles bracket. For Moeller, it was a tiebreaker victory over conference opponent Tyler Schnieder from UW-La Crosse. Moeller battled back after a 5-7 first set on his way to the victory. Moeller then had to face off against the top-overall seed Tyler Knutson from Gustavus Adolphus, falling 4-6, 3-6 to the Gustie.

For Billson, he had to battle in a tiebreaker to open the day as well, falling 4-6, but bouncing back with a 6-1 second set. A 10-7 tiebreaker sent Billson to the round of 16. In that match, Billson won in straight sets only dropping two games in the first set to advance to the quarterfinals. 

Billson will face Christian Wong from Gustavus Adolphus in the quarter-final match at 9 AM Sunday.

On the doubles side, Billson & Luke Blumentritt (Granger, Ind./Indiana Connections Academy) took their two matches of the day with scores of 8-1 & 8-4. The pair move onto the quarterfinal match against Jumpei Kasai and Murilo Abou Rejaili from Coe College. The doubles match is set to take place Sunday afternoon.
