Warhawk Bowlers Earn Academic Honors from NTCA

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's bowling team has been recognized for success in the classroom by the National Tenpin Coaches Association. 

The Warhawks were named a NTCA All-Academic Scholar Team with a cumulative team grade point average of 3.356. To qualify, programs must have maintained a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher during the 2024-25 academic year. UW-Whitewater is one of 49 teams to earn this honor this year. 

Individually, 10 Warhawks maintained a grade point average of at least 3.4 during the academic year to earn NTCA All-Academic Scholar Athlete honors. This year's honorees include Anna Dregne (Westby, Wis./Westby Area) (sophomore, journalism), Anna Heddinger (Farmington, Minn./) (junior, psychology), Ashley Bowe (Brillion, Wis./) (sophomore, English), Dani Swaisgood (Burbank, Calif./John Burroughs) (senior, business management), Emily O'Byrn (Barrington, Ill./) (junior, mathematics), Emily Rusk (Greenfield, Wis./) (junior, social work), Grace Lehmann (Huntley, Ill./) (sophomore, criminology), Kayla Devine () (graduate student, business administration), Leah Pollen () (freshman, accounting) and Mackenzie Juedes (Menasha, Wis./Menasha) (senior, journalism).
