Five Warhawks have earned 2025 Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators including
Rhiann Dick (Palatine, Ill./Palatine),
Josie Hammen (Combined Locks, Wis./Kimberly),
Brooke Hock (Green Bay, Wis./Preble),
Kiarra Kostroski (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Fort Atkinson) and
Kaitlyn Weidemann (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township).
The 2025 Academic All-District teams selected by CSC recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Eligible student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be of at least sophomore status academically and athletically, and athletes must meet varying criteria according to position. Institutions are limited to nominating five individuals for softball.
UW-Whitewater's 2025 Academic All-District contingent features three pitchers and a pair of infielders. Dick, a senior pitcher holds a GPA of 3.93 and graduated with a degree in Elementary Middle Education this spring. Kostroski, a senior utility player who spent the majority of the season at first base, graduated with a degree in psychology after holding a cumulative grade point average of 3.72.
Hock, a junior pitcher, has a 3.88 grade point average in human performance.
Hammen, a sophomore pitcher, carries a 3.98 GPA in human resource management. Weidemann, a fellow sophomore and second baseman, is also majoring in psychology with a 3.89 grade point average.
The Warhawk softball team led all UW-Whitewater athletic programs this academic year with a combined grade point average of 3.725.
