Janesville, Wis. -- The Warhawk women's golf team claimed the title at the UW-Whitewater Spring Invite held at Riverside Golf Course Saturday.
Kallie Lux (Janesville, Wis./Craig) recorded the second-best 36-hole score in program history to win the individual title.
UWW jumped into the top spot on the team leaderboard with a 307 on day two to card a two-day total of 612 for the tournament. Lux led the way with a 145, winning the individual title by four strokes.
Ellie Johnson (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) and
Payton Schmidt (Jefferson, Wis./Jefferson) added a top-ten finishes with a 155s to share seventh.
Kellie Shanahan (Wauconda, Ill./Mundelein) registered 79 Saturday to secure 11th with a total of 157.
Haley Myers (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) (80-82-162) rounded out the top Warhawk squad.
A second UW-Whitewater fivesome finished fourth at the tournament with a total of 666.
Norah Berken (Kaukauna, Wis./Kaukauna) paced the squad with a 79 Saturday for a two-day total of 156 to claim a share of ninth individually.
Breezy Roman (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) finished among the top 20 with a 166 followed by Abbie Reister (171),
Emily Akers (Schaumburg, Ill./Schaumburg) (175) and
Jessica Velent (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Adlai E. Stevenson) (176).
UW-Whitewater was also represented by three individuals on the course this weekend.
Natalie Kammer (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Fort Atkinson) finished among the top 25 with a total of 170.
Megan Honn (LaFayette, Ind./Jefferson) carded a 176 and
Sammy Galian (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower) added a 187 in the invite.

Janesville, Wis. -- The UW-Whitewater women's golf team is in second after the first round of competition in the Warhawks' Spring Invite held at Riverside Golf Course. The tournament features nine teams including two UWW squads.
The Warhawks are just four strokes back from the lead with a 305 Friday.
Kallie Lux (Janesville, Wis./Craig) led the way with a phenomenal round. She was even, carding a 72 to share the top spot on the individual leaderboard in round one.
Ellie Johnson (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) carded a 76 and is tied for fifth while
Kellie Shanahan (Wauconda, Ill./Mundelein) is tied for eighth with a 78.
Payton Schmidt (Jefferson, Wis./Jefferson) registered a 79 on day one to share tenth and
Haley Myers (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) rounded out UWW's top group with an 80 to hold a share of 12th.
A second UW-Whitewater squad is in fourth after totaling 336 Friday.
Norah Berken (Kaukauna, Wis./Kaukauna) led the way with a personal best - 77 - to rank seventh on the leaderboard.
Abbie Reiser (Washington, Ill./Washington Community) (84),
Breezy Roman (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) (86),
Emily Akers (Schaumburg, Ill./Schaumburg) (89) and
