Smyrna, TN -- The UW-Whitewater women's bowling team finished 19th in a 31-team field at the Music City Classic this weekend.
The Warhawks opened the day with the final traditional team game of the tournament. UWW topped Emmanuel 843-784. Dani Swasgood finished 45th in the individual rankings with a six-game average of 190.33.
Emily O'Byrn (Barrington, Ill./) and
Kelly Whipple (Sheboygan, Wis./South) finished 58th and 60th to finish among the top half of the field.
Kayla Devine () and
Emily Rusk (Greenfield, Wis./) also represented UWW in the traditional game Sunday.
In bracket play, UW-Whitewater topped Lewis in a baker series before falling to UMES to finish 19th.
Saturday Recap
The Warhawk bowling team is in 19th after two days of competition at the Music City Classic hosted by Vanderbilt.
UW-Whitewater went 2-3 on day two which consisted of traditional team games. The Warhawks opened the day with back-to-back wins before dropping the final three of the day.
Dani Swaisgood (Burbank, Calif./John Burroughs) was the top individual finisher for UWW with a five-game average of 197.60 bolstered by a 225 and 226 game on the day. She finished 33rd in the 201-bowler field.
Kelly Whipple (Sheboygan, Wis./South) averaged 186.40 while
Emily O'Byrn (Barrington, Ill./) (183.40) and
Zoey Darwin (Monona, Wis./Monona Grove) (171.80) all finished in the top half of the field.
Kayla Devine () and
Ashley Bowe (Brillion, Wis./) also represented the Warhawks in at least one game Saturday.
UW-Whitewater will have one more traditional game Sunday.

The Warhawks went 2-2 in Friday's Baker matches to post a total pinfall of 4,553. The high game for UWW was a 1,000 in the fourth Baker match.
