The UW-Whitewater women's bowling team finished ninth in a field of 15 teams at the Mid-Winter Classic hosted by Arkansas State. 

The Warhawks registered a 931 in the first Baker match Friday. UWW hit the 1,000 mark in each of the next four matches for a total pinfall of 5,142 -- an average of 205.7 per game. 

UWW moved to seventh after the second day of competition in the tournament that featured traditional team games. After two days of bowling, the Warhawks averaged 204.6 per game with a total pinfall of 10,230. Kelly Whipple (Sheboygan, Wis./South) paced the Warhawks Saturday with an average of 211 over the five-game span. She finished 18th on the individual leaderboard. Kayla Devine () and Zoey Darwin (Monona, Wis./Monona Grove) finished back-to-back in 24th and 25th with matching total pinfalls of 1,036. Darwin's total was bolstered by a 264 game in the opening match of the day. Dani Swaisgood (Burbank, Calif./John Burroughs) also bowled all five with a total of 958 to finish among the top 50. Emily O'Byrn (Barrington, Ill./) and Ashley Bowe (Brillion, Wis./) also represented UWW in at least one game Saturday. 

On championship Sunday, UWW fell to Stephen F. Austin and Maryville before defeating Louisiana Tech in the battle for ninth. 

UW-Whitewater is the lone Division III institution competing in the Mid-Winter Classic.
