The UW-Whitewater bowling team finished eighth in a field of fifteen teams after two days of competition in the 2024 Saints Invitational hosted by Maryville University in St. Louis. 

The Warhawks won four of five Baker matches to open the tournament Friday. UWW registered a total pinfall of 4,981 on day one - an average of 199.2 per game. Competition will continue Saturday with five traditional team matches. UW-Whitewater added 5,137 pints in five traditional team matches Saturday. After two days of competition, the Warhawks were 7-2 with a total pinfall of 10,118 - registering an average of 202.4 per game. 

Kayla Devine () paced the Warhawks' success Saturday finishing 14th on the individual leaderboard. She bolstered the Warhawks with a 278 in the first game of the day posting a five-game total pinfall of 1084 -- an average of 216.80 per game. Zoey Darwin (Monona, Wis./Monona Grove) averaged 214.40 with 200's across all five and a total pinfall of 1072 for 17th. Kelly Whipple (Sheboygan, Wis./South) finished 23rd with a high game of 226 and a total pinfall of 1044. Ashley Bowe (Brillion, Wis./) added a top 30 finish notching a high game of 226 and a total pinfall of 1017. Dani Swaisgood (Burbank, Calif./John Burroughs) and Emily O'Byrn (Barrington, Ill./) split the five-game span for UWW Saturday. 

On Sunday, UW-Whitewater opened bracket play with a hard-fought win over Oklahoma Christian. The Warhawks had to win three consecutive Baker matches to come back from 3-1 deficit and advance. UWW narrowly fell to Alabama-Birmingham by just four pins in the final Baker game of the second set of the day. The Warhawks took a 3-2 lead in the final match of the day, but ended up falling to McKendree to finish eighth.
