The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis battled closely in their two matches of the Midwest Invite today. The Warhawks were in a 7-team draw with some of the best competition in the Midwest. With six out of the seven teams ranked in the most recent ITA national rankings.

In the first round of the tournament, the Warhawks matched up against No. 28 Denison. The Warhawks led 2-1 after the doubles flights, but it all came down to the last match but Denison came out on top 5-4. 

After falling in the first round, the Warhawks competed in a round-robin with the other non-advancing teams. For the first game, they matched up against #32 Hope College. In another close battle, the Warhawks looked to battle back after a 1-2 doubles flight, but Hope College held on, picking up the 5-4 win. 

The Warhawks will wrap up the Midwest Invite against #37 North Central College tomorrow,
