The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team ended their regular season with a 6-1 victory over North Central College. The Warhawks took all three doubles flights, then went 5-1 in singles play to defeat the Cardinals.

The Warhawks opened the match with the doubles sweep, with all three flights finishing 6-4 in favor of UWW. The early doubles point set the way for three quick singles wins for the Warhawks to claim the match.

Kaitlyn Remke (Johnsburg, Ill./Marian Central), Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd), and Alex Repplier (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park) were the decisive three flights, all winning in straight sets. Remke did not drop a single game in a 6-0, 6-0 victory at the fifth flight. Ha grabbed the second flight with a 6-3, 6-4 decision. 

Repplier took the match point at the sixth flight, winning 6-1, 6-2.

Abigail Weaver (Wakarusa, Ind./Mishawaka Marian) & Crystina Lee (Downers Grove, Ill./Timothy Christian) grabbed the final two points for the Warhawks in their dual. Weaver overcame a 4-6 first set, taking her second set 7-5. The momentum carried forward for a 10-1 victory for Weaver in the third set tiebreaker. 

Lee opened her match with a 6-1 first set, but fell in the second 2-6. Crystina Lee (Downers Grove, Ill./Timothy Christian) battled in the full third set, taking the match 7-5 in the third set. 

The Warhawks will begin postseason play with the WIAC Tournament semifinal match on Thursday, April 23rd. As the two-seed, UW-Whitewater will face either UW-River Falls (#6) or UW-Stevens Point (#3) at 3 PM in Whitewater.
