The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team faced off against UW-La Crosse in the WIAC Championship match in La Crosse. The Warhawks, ranked 42nd in the most recent ITA poll, drew the match out against the 32nd-ranked Eagles, but fell 3-4 in the championship match. 

UW-La Crosse grabbed the doubles point by taking the second and third doubles flights.

The Eagles grabbed the next point from the fourth singles flight, but the Warhawks won the next three flights to take a 3-2 lead. 

Molly Asfeld (Waukesha, Wis./West) won the third flight in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) and Ashley Adkisson (Lincolnshire, Ill./Stevenson) took the next. Ha took the second flight with a 7-5, 6-2 victory. Adkisson grabbed the third team point at sixth singles, taking her match in straight sets. Adkisson was able to take her second set in the tiebreaker, winning 6-3, 7-6(5). 

Down 3-2, UW-La Crosse was able to take the final two flights, securing the match down to the wire. Both final matches went to the third set, with the Eagles clinching both to win the championship.
