Bryce Faith (Oconomowoc, Wis./) led the UW-Whitewater men's cross country team to a first place finish in the Warhawk Open Friday afternoon.
Faith paced a three-Warhawk contingent that finished among the top five at the meet. The freshman was clocked in 26:30.7 to claim third followed by
Andrew Beyer (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) (26:32.2) in fourth and
Nick Wendl (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) (26:33.9) in fifth.
Matt Andreano secured a 10th place finish with a time of 26:51.8.
Brandon Massman (Belvidere, Ill./North) crossed the line just two seconds later for 11th.
Aiden Johnson added a top-20 finish with a time of 27:19.2 to claim 18th.
Ryan Van Dam (Glen Ellen, Ill./Glenbard East) was clocked in 27:33.7 for 24th followed closely by teammate
Landen Bratt's (Waukesha, Wis./West) 27:36.6 for 25th.
Jordan Loferski (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Hamilton) crossed the line in 27:56.9 while
Adrian Ahuatl (St. Charles, Ill./East) (28:13.7),
James Belus (Oconomowoc, Wis./) (28:14.3) and
Will MacCudden (Slinger, Wis./) (30:07.9) rounded out the Warhawks competing Friday.
UW-Whitewater's next competition is the WIAC Championship meet slated for November 2 in Stevens Point.
