Warhawks Set for NCAA North Regional Saturday

The UW-Whitewater men's and women's cross country teams will head to Colfax, Wisconsin this weekend for the 2025 NCAA Division III North Region Championships this weekend. The regional will be hosted at Whitetail Golf Course Saturday with the men's race slated to begin at noon followed by the women's race at 1 p.m.

UWW Notes
The Warhawk men's program is coming off of a fourth-place finish at the 2025 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships while the UWW women took third. 

"Both teams are ready to go," said Coach Jeff Miller. "The men are looking to qualify for the national meet for the fifth consecutive season. Meanwhile the women are seeking a top five regional finish to potentially put them in a position for an at large bid into the national championship."

Representing the Warhawk men at the North Regional Saturday will be Dan Anderson (Eau Claire, Wis./McDonell), Matthew Andreano (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs), Jonah Block (Whitefish Bay, Wis./), Keegan Bratt (Waukesha, Wis./West), Tucker Johnson (Poynette, Wis./), Brandon Massman (Belvidere, Ill./North) and Alex Metko (Brillion, Wis./) with Andrew Beyer (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) as an alternate. Anderson paced the UW-Whitewater men at the conference championship with a fourth-place finish. He recorded a 20-second personal best to achieve his top career finish at the WIAC Championship. Metko crossed the line 26th while Andreano, Massman and Johnson all finished among the top 36.

In the women's race, Abi Anderson (Janesville, Wis./Craig), Nicole Brown (Grayslake, Ill./), Katie Erb (Winnebago, Ill./), Ella Hansen (Pewaukee, Wis./UW-Parkside), Emma Henningfeld (East Troy, Wis./), Payton Scoggin (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trails) and Emma Skelton (Mt. Prospect, Ill./) will represent UW-Whitewater with Miranda McNally (Downers Grove, Ill./North) as an alternate. Erb was the top Warhawk finisher at the league championship coming in 18th. Scoggin and Anderson placed among the top 25 while Hansen and Henninfeld added top 35 finishes.
